Who we are
A local organization working with and for the community
Dhul Janahayn is a local charitable organization working in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa, implementing humanitarian and development programs that address community needs and protect human dignity.
Responsibility begins with knowing the place
The association grew from an understanding of local communities’ needs and a belief that the most effective response combines direct support with building people’s ability to continue their lives with dignity.

The meaning of our name
A name connected to the place’s history and our mission’s values
The name “Dhul Janahayn” was inspired by the noble companion Ja‘far ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, who migrated to Abyssinia and whose life is associated with sacrifice, leadership and compassion. The name conveys giving that elevates human dignity and connects compassion with justice.
The meaning of our logo
An identity rooted in mission and place
The logo depicts a bird taking flight with both wings, symbolizing aspiration and a balance between people’s material and spiritual needs. Its colors connect it to Ethiopia, the land where the association began.
